The day before W & B's beautiful wedding it was storming, windy and utterly awful weather. I love a good rainy day wedding, but not that kind of rainy. Happily on the day of the wedding, it cleared up and the autumn colours were showing off. It was warm enough that doing photos outside was pleasant. We were all thankful for that.
This adorable bride and groom could not be more perfect for each other. They were actually introduced by the bride's mom. And sometimes, mom's just know. Seeing them together is heartwarming and you know they are each other's forever! Some couples just belong together, and W & B are that couple.
These two very practical and low fuss sweethearts would have been happy to elope. But they are just too well loved and it meant so much to their loved ones to celebrate with them that they braved wedding planning! With the help of a fantastic crew of family and friends they pulled off an epic day! Celebrating her Mexican roots there was even a mariachi band! And they got everyone up dancing and even singing. It was a beautiful and love filled event. In the end, they were happy they opted out of eloping. The memories were once in a lifetime.

The wedding ceremony was held at their Kingdom Hall, and the reception at Centennial Lodge in Queen's Park, New Westminster. It's a great venue! At the entrance you're greeted with an art gallery. Even though it wasn't open it's just a great vibe to walk into. Centennial Lodge itself doesn't need much. It had high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and a beautiful rock wall with a fireplace at the far end. It's very lodgey, very cozy and has a beautiful view. New Westminster doesn't have very many wedding venues, but this gem would be a find anywhere. It even has a full kitchen for catering.
We did family and wedding party pictures right at the lodge and in Queen's Park. But for the bride and groom formals, we snuck away to nearby Friendship Park. Another beautiful wedding photography spot in New Westminster. The light cooperated, the fall colours were beautiful and in the end it was a perfect day for these newlyweds.
I wish you a very happily ever after. It was a privilege to be your wedding photographer!
