WEST VANCOUVER ENGAGEMENT

I met these two sweethearts when they were best man and maid of honour at their best friend's wedding the year previous to their wedding. We instantly clicked, and when they called me a couple of months later to see if I was available for their wedding day I was thrilled. The wedding was going to be held at Alana's childhood home, and they chose to have the engagement session there as well. It was a hot, sunny day but this west Vancouver engagement shoot location was perfect. Lots of shade, a beautiful garden that looks like something out of a novel and just a short walk across the road to an ocean overlook. They already had practice and training at the wedding where we met and were super excited about their session. They have such a positive energy and happy personalities that our session flew by, and we got some beautiful shots!

West Vancouver is a great location to have your engagement session. The area around Lighthouse Park offers so many options! Wooded trails with gorgeous, huge tress, the ocean, the abandoned lighthouse, the beach, the huge rocks and even the neighbourhood in general all provide spectacular backdrops. This is one of those areas that no matter what the weather is doing on your engagement session day, there is a place to get incredible photos.

If you're a nature lover this is a great option. If you can't decide between ocean views or the forest, you don't have to in West Vancouver. And it's not just Lighthouse Park that offers great vistas.  Cypress Falls and Whytecliff Parks are also great choices. The beauty of these areas and the ease of avoiding photobombers make them a favourite choice for many couples.
